これは、2021年の初めから構想を練っている
絵本の1シーンです。
「着飾る」ということは、時に人を呪縛し
自分ではなく他の何かに美しさを投影して、安堵を作り出す行為かもしれません。
烏というと、怖いとか、ゴミを漁っていて汚いとか、悪い印象で捉えられることも多々ありますが
古くは、導きの神として、日本やアラスカにも神話がたくさん残っているほど、崇高な存在でした。
烏のことを調べ始めると、外出時に不思議と烏がすぐ側まで近づいてくることが多くなりました。
近寄ってきた烏をまじまじと眺めると、光を受けて青や紫に艶めく翼に見惚れ、日に焼けた毛並みは柔らかい赤茶に色づき、なんとも言えない美しさでした。
誰かと自分を比べてしまうのは、この世界で人間だけが持つ特質のように思います。
物事をネガティブに意味づけしてしまうのも、またその一つ。
皆さんには今、この烏がどのように見えますか?
Raven of the Star ~Remember~
This is from a picture book’s scene that I have been working over my plan since the beginning of this year(2021).
” dressing up” sometimes may be an action to put a spell on and
reflect beauty on something that is not yourself and create the feeling of relief.
Crows are captured as scary or dirty, hunting for garbage, with bad impression in many cases but
in old times, they were a noble existence as a guiding god with many myths still outlasting in Japan and Alaska.
Once starting a research on crows, it was a curious thing but when I go out there were more cases that crows came very close to me.
When a looked carefully at the crows who came close, I got fascinated by their wings shining with blue or purple by the light and their feathers were softly browned by the sun. They were so beautiful.
Comparing yourself with somebody else is a special quality only human beings have in this world.
Making negative meanings on something is also one of it.
